Gavin Smith

Gavin trained at the London School of Osteopathy achieving a Masters degree in Osteopathy. Prior to this he spent over ten years as a sports therapist and exercise coach, working at one of London’s top personal training studios where he developed a special interest in working with people suffering from lower back pain and or recovering from injuries.

​Since qualifying as an Osteopath Gavin has gained experience working at busy clinics in London and Essex treating a wide range of patients ranging from elite level athletes to office workers, pre and post natal mothers, older adults and children and babies. As well as working at Holland Park Osteopathic Practice Gavin also works as a clinical supervisor and lecturer at the London School of Osteopathy.

Gavin was team Osteopath at Carlson Gracie London where he worked with some of the top martial artists in the country including national champions and European and world medallists in Brazilian Jui Jitsu. He was also part of a team providing Osteopathic treatment to some of the countries top sprinters at the World Championship Trials in Birmingham, and Loughborough international Athletic meet 2017.

​Gavin has had a life long love of sports and movement and spent many years training and competing in martial arts. After one training injury too many he become more sensible and has taken up tennis as a safer option.

​Gavin takes a patient centred approach to treatment and enjoys the variety and challenge of working with diverse individuals. Every patient is unique and as such hands on treatment, exercise plans and lifestyle advice are tailored to each persons individual needs.
